Spotlight on EMEA Series: Denmark

In our Spotlight on EMEA series we round up the latest immigration developments across the region.  In this post we focus on the new process for applying for ‘sideline employment’ in Denmark.

As of 14 February 2024 the Danish Agency for International Recruitment & Integration (SIRI) introduced a new application form to be used for the process of applying for a work permit to cover ‘sideline employment’ specifically.  The form is also to be used by an accompanying family member who has been offered employment within the same company where the main applicant sponsor works.

Sideline employment is essentially where an applicant holds a work permit for specific employment with Denmark but wishes to take a secondary or ‘sideline’ role in addition to the main employment.

The new form AR8 will replace previous application forms.
