Thailand Removes Visa Requirements for Indians and Taiwan Passport Holders from November 10, 2023 to May 10, 2024

In an effort to boost tourism, Thailand has announced the temporary removal of visa requirements for travellers from India and Taiwan from November 10, 2023 to May 10, 2024. This means that Indian and Taiwanese passport holders can visit Thailand for up to 30 days without having to apply for a visa in advance.

Entry requirements for Indian and Taiwanese passport holders

Indian and Taiwanese passport holders who wish to take advantage of the visa waiver program must meet the following requirements:

  • Have a valid passport for at least six months from the date of entry into Thailand.
  • Have proof of onward travel, such as a return ticket or ticket to a third country.
  • Have sufficient funds to support their stay in Thailand, approximately THB 20,000 per person.

Indian and Taiwanese passport holders do not need to apply for a visa waiver in advance. They can simply arrive at a Thai port of entry and present their valid passport and proof of onward travel. They will then be granted a visa-free stay of up to 30 days.

The removal of visa requirements for Indian and Taiwanese passport holders is a positive step for Thailand’s travel industry. It is expected to attract more visitors to the country and boost the economy. Indian and Taiwanese passport holders who are planning to visit Thailand should be sure to check the latest travel requirements and entry restrictions.
