In our Spotlight on APAC series we round up the latest developments across Asia. In this post we look at the requirement for foreign nationals to complete the Digital Arrival Card, effective from 1 January 2024
Malaysia
From the 1 January 2024 foreign nationals entering Malaysia must complete the Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) three days prior to arriving in Malaysia. The online pre-arrival form must be completed online.
The following individuals are exempt from the requirement to complete:
- Singaporian nationals;
- Long-term pass holders in Malaysia;
- Individuals with Brunei common identification certificates; and
- Holders of Thai border passes.
