South Africa – Introduction of new digital business visa recommendation application process

In South Africa, the Department of Trade, Industry, and Competition (the DTIC) has launched the Business Visa Recommendation System (VRS), an online platform for business visa recommendation applications.  This applies to all foreign business owners applying for first, extension and or permanent residence recommendations.

• Applicants may submit digital recommendation applications for first-time applications, extension and permanent business visas.

• The required supporting documents can be uploaded directly to the system.

• Applicants can monitor the progress of the applications.

• Updates and final recommendations will be communicated digitally through the system.

Applicants using the system will need to register and set up account details.
