Spotlight on APAC: Thailand
In our Spotlight on APAC series, we round up the latest developments across the region. In this post, we focus on the upcoming launch of Thailand’s new TM 6 online system.
Effective from 01 May 2025, the new TM 6 online system, also known as the Digital Arrival Card, will replace the previous paper arrival declaration required from travellers entering Thailand via sea, land and air.
The online platform will be readily available in five languages, English, Chinese, Korean, Russian and Japanese. Travellers will be required to provide information, such as their arrival details, passport data, purpose of visit, and the address of their intended stay. This declaration should be completed before arrival, but travellers will be guided through the process at immigration counters if they have not done so.
The new platform is designed to streamline and integrate an effective tracking system, ensuring that travellers’ information is shared with various agencies such as the Department of Consular Affairs, Department of Disease Control and Ministry of Tourism and Sports. This initiative comes as the country anticipates an upcoming surge of international visitors for the year with the launch of the ‘Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year 2025’.
