We provide high quality training that is designed to equip trainees with the skills required to become effective commercial solicitors. Training is generally divided into four seats of six months each covering: corporate immigration; employment; media & litigation (one seat) and property & company/commercial (one seat).
Trainees’ progress is closely monitored throughout the training contract and trainees are each assigned a training principal and a mentor. Our aim is to build on your natural talents and to develop these into the attributes required to make a highly effective business focused lawyer whatever area you ultimately decide to specialise in.
Whilst we will assist you to arrange and pay for your Professional Skills Course, you will also be given the opportunity to attend in-house skills-based training programs designed to enhance business, technical and client care skills. In addition, you will be encouraged to attend seminars which we run for clients should they be complementary to your training.
What Happens At The End of the Training Contract?
We aim to offer jobs to all of our trainee solicitors when they qualify. However, the question of whether or not you will be retained is dependent upon your performance during your training contact and whether we have any vacancies in the area of law which you decide to specialise in. Over the last few years, trainees who have not remained with us have gone on to continue their careers at other reputable practices in the West End and the City.
