Maria is currently completing the first seat of her training contract in the Immigration Department. She has in depth experience of working within the immigration sector on applications under Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 5 of the Points Based System for large corporate clients. Having studied Law at the University of Southampton, Maria completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in 2010, passing with a Distinction.

Interests
Maria plays the violin and the piano and enjoys performing and listening to a wide variety of music. Notably, Maria has played at St Mark’s Cathedral in Venice and the Royal Albert Hall here in London. An enthusiastic traveller, Maria took a gap year after completing her Law Degree to tour South East Asia, visiting Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam. In what remains of her spare time, Maria enjoys cooking a range of different cuisines with varying degrees of success!
