Cathy is an assistant solicitor in the employment department and is experienced in dealing with contentious and non-contentious employment matters on behalf of both companies and private individuals.
Cathy regularly deals with Employment Tribunal claims and High Court litigation. She has handled a variety of cases, including those relating to unfair dismissal, discrimination and “whistleblowing”. She advises clients on a wide range of employment issues including dismissal, redundancy, discrimination, employee requests, grievances, disciplinary procedures and the terms of compromise agreements. She also drafts employment contracts, policies and staff handbooks.
Appellant Cases:
Strand Transport Services v Whitworth (a Court of Appeal case on the application of Polkey).
Areas of Operation:
The Employment Tribunals, the High Court and judicial and private mediation.

Cathy likes hiking and going to the cinema and theatre. She also loves to travel. Whilst travelling in South East Asia, Cathy once attempted to eat a tarantula, which she was assured was a local delicacy. She is now a vegetarian.
