UK Visas Launches New Application Forms...

New visa application forms will be introduced worldwide from 29 October 2007. From 27 October 2007 all visa applicants will need to use these new forms at British Diplomatic Posts and Visa Application Centres worldwide. British Diplomatic Posts and Visa Application Centres will only accept the old application forms until 9 November 2007.

The new forms are designed to be simpler to complete and easier to read, and will ask questions that are aiming to ensure that quick, well-informed visa decisions are made.

The new VAF2 application form for entry clearance to the UK, which is relevant to many Magrath LLP work permit or highly skilled migrant clients, now asks for detailed information and supporting documentary evidence regarding any pre-arranged employment in the UK, qualifications and previous work experience, and English language qualifications.

The launch of the new application forms will go hand-in-hand with the introduction of the new Points Based System for migration to the UK, commencing in early 2008, promoted as simplifying immigration procedures and tighten security and immigration controls.

Magrath LLP will endeavour to ensure the transition to the new application forms and visa application procedures will be as smooth as possible for its new and existing clients.
