The Prime Minister has announced the details of a new super priority visa service for Indian visa applicants, which will begin in March.
The service which has reportedly been set up in response to feedback from prominent Indian businesses, will be available at visa application centres In Delhi and Mumbai. It will enable frequent visitors, business travellers and skilled workers to have their visas processed in one day. The service will cost approximately £150, in addition to the visa application fee.
The scheme will operate alongside both the standard, and current fast track services. Under the latter scheme, individuals applying for a visitor visa who have travelled without difficulty to a number of countries in the last five years can have their visas processed within 2-4 working days.
